Michel Herbelin adds GMT to Cap Camarat Automatic range

0

Michel Herbelin has extended its Cap Camarat Automatic collection with a GMT worldtimer.

The GMT is a modern day reinterpretation of a 1970s piece from the French watchmaker.

It joins the Cap Camarat Automatic three hand steel sports watch, which has been a bestselling model since launching in 2018.

The Cap Camarat Automatic GMT has both a second time zone hand and a manual worldtimer, a first for Michel Herbelin.

It is launching as a limited edition of 500 numbered pieces and has a dial carrying the new HERBELIN logo, which will be rolled out in 2022, the brand’s 75th anniversary.

The GMT hand has a luminescent red-and-white triangle tip that is positioned to the city of choice using the crown located at 3:30.

Combined with the minute hand, it indicates the time of the second time zone via a 24-hour scale with a two-tone day/night indicator in azure blue and silver.

A worldtimer function is adjusted with a crown at 2:30 on the 42mm brushed steel case. It turns a rotating interior bezel ring to different reference cities representing the 24 different time zones.

The steel on steel watch houses a Sellita SW330-2 automatic caliber with 56-hour power reserve.

It will retail for £1,350 (around $2,430).
