Meistersinger unveils suite of vegan watch straps

Meistersinger has introduced a range of vegan watch straps as it continues on its path to promote sustainability.

Earlier this year the German watch business launched the Edition Planet Earth collection in collaboration with the World Wide Fund for Nature, one of the world’s leading nature conservation organizations.

Meistersinger’s new straps, which first appeared on the Edition Planet Earth watch, are made to look like leather, but are made from apple fiber.

They originate from the Tyrol region of northern Italy, an area renowned for the production of apple juices, where a significant amount of the raw material is discarded each year.

The products manufactured here kill two birds with one stone. First, they recycle valuable residual materials and secondly they strike a chord with the zeitgeist by offering an outstanding alternative to leather made from renewable raw materials.

They are available immediately in dark brown, cognac, black and black with contrast stitching for €70.
