Meistersinger names new CEO

Meistersinger has appointed a new CEO following the departure of John van Steen earlier this year.

Rainer Eckert steps into the role, and will share management duties for Meistersinger with its founder Manfred Brassler.

Mr Eckert has worked in the watch industry for most of his career, most recently as brand manager for Longines in Germany for over nine years.

He also shares the vision of Mr Brassler, who says: “I am convinced that together with Rainer Eckert we can lead the brand to new shores. It is not a question of transferring the recipes of the big ones to MeisterSinger, but of carefully continuing along the very individual path that MeisterSinger has taken up until now. I am looking forward to the new phase and wish Rainer Eckert every success in his new role.”

Mr Eckert adds: “I am full of anticipation to put my many years of experience at the service of MeisterSinger – a watch brand that has been delighting its customers with unique and distinctive products for more than 20 years. My goal is to leverage the potential of the brand and bring the fascination of our single-hand watches to as many people as possible together with the partners.”
