Maurice Lacroix introduces new Aikon Automatic Skeleton

Swiss watch brand Maurice Lacroix has introduced its new Aikon Automatic Skeleton into its range.

The brand has a history of skeletonized watches, with its Calypso Skeleton going back as far as 1993.

The Aikon Automatic Skeleton sees the debut of the brand’s manufacture ML234 caliber movement and the watch aims to combine the watchmaking expertise of the Masterpiece collection with the Aikon’s design cues.

Despite being 45mm wide, the Aikon Automatic is 13mm thick and made entirely out of steel. It includes one of the Aikon collection’s signature touches, which are the six arms on the bezel, positioned once every two hours.

The watch will come with Maurice Lacroix’s interchangeable strap technology – the Easychange system. The system claims to allow the bracelet to be singlehandedly removed in just a few seconds.
