Market Cross wants to add more Luxury Watch Rooms

Market Cross Jewellers says that the investment in its Luxury Watch Room is driving sales and customer satisfaction to unprecedented levels.

Market Cross now has 13 stores across the North East of England. It opened its Luxury Watch Room in Middlesbrough last year and invested more in stock of high end brands including Tag Heuer, Breitling and Longines.

We have spent a considerable sum on the Luxury Watch room shop fit plus the increased stock levels that introducing shop in shops entails. We are confident that we will reap the benefits of our financial outlay and also the space that we have dedicated solely to these brands,” said the company’s owner Roy Welsh.

Customers at the top end want to shop in a luxurious environment, Welsh says, which is why he intends to spend even more converting other stores to a similar level of the Luxury Watch Room in Middlesbrough.

“The success of this has convinced us even more that to move forward with our business we need to concentrate on creating a more luxurious environment/ shopping experience in as many of our stores as possible.,” he told WatchPro.

“We are living in a time of high expectations from a customer point of view. We are being shown the way by the big watch houses and jewellery brands opening their own stand alone stores, we need to follow their examples as closely as we can,” he added.
