Marie Antoinette exhibit wins Breguet’s time

Breguet is continuing to build links with history, supporting a new exhibition dedicated to Queen Marie Antoinette.

Partnering exclusively with the Château de Versailles, Breguet will support the Tokyo-based showcase ‘Marie Antoinette, a Queen in Versailles’, giving insight into the life and tastes of the famous queen.

The sponsorship of the four-month exhibition follows on from Breguet both funding and driving the restoration of the Petit Trianon, a small château located on the grounds of the Palace of Versailles.

It also follows the challenge set by the late Nicolas G. Hayek (pictured) in 2005 of identically reproducing the Marie Antoinette pocket watch, with his watchmakers recreating a large number of complications based on just a few historical documents and drawings.
