Luminox adds touches of gold to a limited edition Navy Seal 3500

Sporty, rugged and athletic Luminox watches are not known for their use of precious metals, but the brand has turned to gold and its association with achievements, victories and celebrations for a new Navy SEAL 3500 Gold Limited Edition.

There are 1,618 being made, a figure that mathematicians may recognize as the whole number equivalent of phi, also known as the Golden Number, the Golden Proportion and the Golden Ratio.

The mainly black watch has golden touches on the hands, crown and the first 20 minute marks of its uni-directional bezel.

It comes in a 45mm tough and light Carbonox case that is water resistant to 200 meters. It can be worn on either a rubber or Nato strap.
