Longines launches social media fashion contest for the Belmont Stakes

For the second year in a row, the Longines Prize for Elegance Fashion Contest at the Belmont Stakes will be taking place online this weekend.

Longines is once again the official timekeeper for the prestigious New York horse racing meeting, which takes place on Saturday.

Only 11,000 fans will be able to attend the Triple Crown race, which is why Longines has broadened the field for its Fashion Contest and people can dress up and pitch their look online.

One female winner will receive a Longines DolceVita watch with a silvered “flinqué” dial adorned with painted Roman numerals and an interchangeable blue strap.

The panel of judges this year includes racing pundit Acacia Courtney and Longines US brand president Brittany Garcia.

They will be looking to pick out their favorite fashionable looks for the women that share their outfits via Instagram and Twitter posts using the hashtag #LonginesPrizeforElegance.
