Longines marked the expansion to its women’s Conquest Classic collection with a panel session in New York.
Held at Hudson Yards, brand ambassador Mikaela Shiffrin, multiple alpine ski world champion, was in attendance to present the new additions.
The panel session celebrated female excellence and, on behalf of the brand, Ms Shiffrin and vice president Charles Villoz presented the new models of the Conquest Classic collection line.
Alongside women from across other industries, Ms Shiffrin commented: “It’s an honor to celebrate the promise, potential, and excellence of professional women in the presence of so many extraordinary accomplished personalities, and to launch these beautiful new watches with Longines.”
She added: “Both elegant and sporty, the new Conquest Classic is a natural fit on my wrist. Its feminine lines and dynamic spirit make it a watch that suits my personality as an athlete and a woman.”
The watch is available in two sizes of 29.5mm and 34mm in diameter, and with select models featuring diamonds, the steel case of the new Conquest Classic houses a quartz movement.
The collection offers five different dials – sunray blue, sunray black, sunray silver, white mother-of-pearl or black mother-of-pearl – on which pink or rhodium-plated hands revolve.
Pink indexes or diamonds complete the dial of this timepiece mounted on a steel bracelet, creating lends it finesse and refinement.
Commenting on the event and the release, Mr Villoz said: “As women represent fifty percent of its total customer base, Longines has always been proud to support and celebrate the successes of women worldwide.”
Concluding: “We attach great importance to giving them a wide range of possible variations in all of our collections, enabling them to find the perfect fit for their taste and personality. It is with great pride we present the new models of the Conquest Classic collection, here in New York in the presence of so many inspiring female leaders.”
