Longines adds to ladies and pilot watch lines


Longines should have been in Las Vegas for Couture this week, which would have given fresh additions to its core collections more attention.

As it is the company withdrew at the 11th hour along with all other Swatch Group brands from an event that deserved to be treated better.

Swatch Group ought to stop treating organizations that should be friends in this way, particularly since watches from the likes of Longines are exceptional by any measure of price, value, design, heritage and technical excellence.


Longines’ launches that should have been at Couture are additions to its Spirit line of pilot watches along with ladies models in the Master Collection and Evidenza family.

Longines Spirit

Spirit pilot watches have been launched in titanium on either a NATO strap or titanium bracelet.

They use in house automatic movements with silicon balance springs and are engineered to pass COSC chronometer certification and come with a five year warranty.

Prices range from $2,950 on titanium bracelet and $2,650 on the strap.

Longines Master Collection

Longines’ Master Collection, for men and women, is an elegant line of automatics that runs from classic three-handers up to chronographs and even annual calendars.

For 2021, a moon phase has been introduced to a range of ladies’ pieces in 34mm cases.

There are three leather strap choices: brown, red and blue, along with a steel bracelet option and the option of diamond hour markers.


Prices range from $2,700 to $2,750.

Longines Evidenza

Longines’ Evidenza uses the tonneau (barrrel) case shape and elongated Roman numerals made popular in the early 20th century Art Deco period.

2021 versions come in sea green and blue with matching leather straps or steel bracelets.

Dials are given extra interest with a matt central panel surrounded by a brighter track for the numerals.

Prices range from $2,000 on leather strap to $2,050 on a bracelet.
