Minneapolis watch retailer JB Hudson Jewelers has a new man at the helm following a reshuffle by its owner.
Pohlad Companies, which controls the business, confirmed it had aligned two of its consumer-facing businesses – including its jewlery and watch retail operations – under the leadership of Chase Hawkins.
Mr Hawkins will now serve as CEO and president for Carousel Motor Group (CMG) and senior vice president – retail operations at the business.
In this dual role, he will oversee both CMG and JB Hudson Jewelers, it announced.
JB Hudson Jewelers offers a range of fine jewelry as well as a selection watches. Brands that it retails include Baume & Mercier, Cartier, IWC, Longines, Omega, TAG Heuer and Tissot.
As part of the restructuring, Nick Pechman, president of JB Hudson Jewelers, will report to Mr Hawkins, who boasts 30 years of global leadership experience in automotive sales, service, marketing, product planning and pricing.
The South African-born executive has been with the business for four years and lived and worked in countries on five continents.
Founded by Carl R. Pohlad in the 1950s, the Pohlad Companies had its start in the banking and soft-drink bottling industries.
It is now managed by his three sons Jim, Robert and Bill, with third generation family members actively involved.
Retail is one of four primary business groups that the company operates.
