Kronaby sponsors WatchPro Awards as it builds bridges to Britain’s most innovative watch retailers


Kronaby has joined a growing list of watch brands and suppliers to sponsor the 2017 WatchPro Awards.

The Swedish smartwatch maker says that the partnership sends an important message to British retailers about their commitment to working with them to develop the brand and drive sales.

“Being a sponsor of such a key event in the UK watch calendar shows not only how committed we are to the UK market, but also that we see Kronaby becoming a key player within that market,” says Sarandis Kalogeropulos, co-founder of Kronaby.


“As a brand, Kronaby is pushing boundaries in the watch world and we value the retailers who operate with a similar mindset, looking to the future and embracing new technologies whilst staying true to the historical values of design in the watch industry,” he adds.

Kronaby will be bringing a team to the WatchPro Awards to meet and greet current and prospective partners. “We are very excited to be sponsoring the WatchPro Awards. This is our first year at the Awards and we are looking forward to meeting and celebrating people from the industry at such a joyful and highly anticipated event,” Mr Kalogeropulos says.

Kronaby is looking to work with some of the most forward-thinking and innovative watch retailers in the UK. “Our vision is to create new, innovative and smart products, very much reflected in newly launched Kronaby. I guess you could say this is our home turf and we want to celebrate those who dare to explore and follow their own path,” explains Mr Kalogeropulos.

Kronaby marries the build quality and classical design of Swiss watches with innovative connected technology. The company hopes that the retailers it works with will be equally forward-thinking.

“The watch retailer has competition to secure consumers spending in technology markets and we need to offer something which can effectively ensure that spend comes also to the watch market,” Mr Kalogeropulos suggests.

“Consumers are quick to embrace the latest technology as we see with every new mobile phone launch, so we hope that UK watch retailers will embrace this in the same way to keep their market share. Kronaby is one of the few brands that can do that for the retailers. Whilst the brand is a new creation, the company behind the brand is no ordinary start-up and the size of the company should give retailers confidence to partner with Kronaby to build the UK market together,” he concludes.

The 2017 WatchPro Awards, in association with Hearst, take place on November 22 at 8 Northumberland, a stunning Victorian ballroom on Trafalgar Square in Central London.
