Jaeger-LeCoultre expands Master Control collection

Waiting lists are lengthening for sporty steel chronographs from Rolex, Vacheron Constantin and now even Zenith and Tudor.

Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Master Control is an excellent alternative, and the collection has now been extended with the addition of chronograph calendar and calendar references.

Both come with steel bracelets that can be changed without tools with other straps.

2022 is the 30th anniversary of the Master Control, a collection named after an internal quality control process at the JLC manufacture.

Both the new models have silver sunray-brushed dials with silver-colored hands and markers.

The Master Control Calendar watch has days of the month on the outer dial, with the date picked out with a red-tipped arrow hand.

It uses the automatic Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 866AA with 70 hour power reserve.

The Master Control Chronograph Calendar has the same silver on silver styling in the same 40mm steel case, but it also has blue chronograph hands and a blue moonphase.

It is powered by the automatic Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 759 with 65 hours of power.
