IWC hosts VIP lunch at CarFest South

IWC Schaffhausen hosted a VIP boy’s lunch at CarFest South on August 23, where it was the exclusive watch supporter of the Drivers’ Lounge.

The event was attended by friends of the brand and VIP guests and took place during CarFest South 2013, which took place from 23 to 25 August at Laverstoke Park Farm in Hampshire, home of former Formula One world champion Jody Scheckter.

Among guests at the lunch were Boris Beck, Roberto Di Matteo and Nick Fry. A Mercedes-Benz Silver Arrow W196 R racing car from 1954/55 was displayed at the entrance to the IWC Lounge, offering visitors a rare opportunity to get a close-up view.

Additionally, an IWC watchmaker worked at his bench throughout the event, offering guests an exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpse into watchmaking. Guests also had the opportunity to view IWC’s new Ingenieur ChronographSilberpfeil timepiece collection, inspired by the Mercedes-Benz Silver Arrow.

IWC’s commitment to motor racing has been apparent throughout 2013 , starting with its new role as official engineering partner of the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team.
