Fashion watch brand Ice-Watch has reached 1,000,000 fans on Facebook, the first watch brand to do so, something it says it “likes”.
The brand uses the online fan space to interact with consumers, announcing new collections, cultural link ups and new stores.
A release from Ice-Watch said: “It’s all there on the Ice-Watch fan page. Anything is a good opportunity to post photos, videos, blogs and news items online to encourage a sustainable dialogue.”
A thank you to its fans Ice-Watch has launched a competition called the Ice-Game which gives Facebook fans a chance to win one of 100 watches from its Ice-World and Ice-Flash lines.
It is asking fans to upload photos of them wearing their Ice-Watch from which it will judge the winners.
The brand will also publish an album featuring 50 of the best photos posted by community members to its Facebook page, something it says will be “a fun, colourful, sexy, risqué, playful and inspirational photo retrospective”.
