Hyde Park Jewelers appoints chief executive as Michael and Shereen Pollak step away

Hyde Park Jewelers has named Damon Gross its new chief executive officer as the group’s founders, Michael and Shereen Pollak move away from directly running the business.

Mr and Mrs Pollak will remain the sole shareholders of Hyde Park Jewelers. Mr Pollak will take the title of non-executive chairman.

Mr Gross, who will officially take over as CEO on January 1, 2020, is the group’s chief operating officer, a role he has held for over 14 years.


“I’m excited for the future of Hyde Park as we strategically grow within our markets aided by one of the best management teams I’ve ever worked with,” said Mr Gross.

A statement from Mr and Mrs Pollak adds:  “We believe Damon is the most exceptional jewelry and watch executive that we have had the pleasure of knowing and working with over the course of our 44-year career. We are both 100% in alignment with Damon regarding the future growth and strategic direction of the company.”

Founded in Denver, Colo., in 1976 by Mr Pollak, Hyde Park has a flagship store in Denver, and additional fine jewelry and timepiece boutiques in Phoenix, Ariz., Scottsdale, Ariz., and Newport Beach, Calif.
