Hublot sniffs opportunity in the Med

Hublot has been busy opening boutiques across Europe’s southern tourist hot spots this year, and today unveiled its latest brand ambassador, Spaniard Eneko Atxa, who is widely considered one of the world’s best chefs.

The brand must sniff opportunity around the Mediterranean.

Mr Atxa is one of the youngest chefs ever to be awarded three Michelin stars at his restaurant Azurmendi in the Basque region of Spain.

Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe says he embodies values the brand holds most dear.

“His career, nurtured through a blend of honesty, creativity and hard work, coupled with his culinary signature, which combines regional elements, traditional products and innovation, fully express the spirit of watchmaking to which Hublot has always adhered.

“Profoundly aware of the extraordinary influence of Eneko and his invaluable contribution to the international gastronomic scene, we are delighted to welcome him into the Hublot family,” he says.
