Swiss watchmaking brand Hublot has teamed up with a Premier League Champions Chelsea for a second timepiece.
The brand unveiled the Big Bang at London club’s home ground at Stamford Bridge.
Limited to 200 pieces, the wrist watch features a 44mm stainless steel case and a bezel made of carbon fiber and blue texalium.
The blue sunray dial is designed to match the current home Chelsea jerseys and includes three counters at three, six and nine o’clock, the latter being engraved with “SW6”, the Fulham postcode where the home of ‘the Blues’ is located.
Powered by a self-winding chronograph, the Big Bang Chelsea FC has a 42-hour power reserve and has a Chelsea lion logo situated both at 12 o’clock and on the case back crystal.
The strap comes in rubber and blue alligator with a stainless steel deployant buckle clasp.
The official presentation of the Big Bang Chelsea FC took place in the presence of Michel Pont, Hublot football consultant and former assistant coach of the Swiss National Football Team, Philippe Tardivel, Hublot marketing director, Benoit Lecigne, Hublot brand director for the UK, France, Belux, Eastern Europe and Scandinavia and Chris Townsend, commercial director of Chelsea FC.
The launch comes a year on from the successful roll-out of the Classic Fusion Chronograph Chelsea FC in 2016.
Hublot now has a strong presence inside Stamford Bridge grounds, on LED score display screens and pitch-side banners, and through clocks displayed in key areas around the site.
