Hublot hits the dance floor with DJ Snake

Hublot has helpfully provided a biography with the name of its latest creative collaboration partner, DJ Snake, who is described as the most streamed French artist in world and a multi-faceted artist with slew of international hits.

Those better acquainted than WATCHPRO with the club scene will know Mr Snake for his work with stars ranging from Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber to Diplo, Kanye West and Lil Jon over the past eight years.

Hublot’s top brass first noticed his prowess on the decks in 2018, when he played a set at the watchmaker’s finale event at the FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Three years’ later and Mr Snake has his name etched on the glass of a psychedelic Big Bang DJ Snake limited edition.

An Instagram post by the DJ announcing the watch has been liked 357,551 times inside two days.

Its 45mm titanium case changes colour when the watch is moved around and catches light from different angles.

DJ Snake’s influence is seen in the shifting colours. He also contributed to the design of the bezel, which has different notches to a regular Big Bang, and to the upper face of the sapphire dial, which has a map of the world in the same colours as the case; a signature of the musician.

The manufacture HUB1242 UNICO flyback chronograph can be seen through the dial’s skeletonisation and through a crystal case back. It has a power reserve of 72 hours.

Hublot is selling the limited edition with two easily swapped rubber straps, one with with a grey, black and purple camouflage pattern, the other in just black.

It goes on sale for £21,700.
