Junghans is best known for its Max Bill in the UK, but the brand is most proud of the Meister Driver chronoscope, which has been created as an homage to the enthusiastic car collector Arthur Junghans, son of the company founder Erhard Junghans.
Arthur Junghans began buying cars in 1892 at the very dawn of the automobile industry.
His passion is shared by Dr. Hans-Jochem Steim and Hannes Steim, current owners of Junghans, who have added to a museum of cars covering 110 years of automobile history.
It is this museum that provides inspiration for the designs of the Meister Driver Chronoscope collection, with the dial reminiscent of the Handaufzug model picking out the style of a classic dashboard speedometer.
