H.Moser & Cie over the moon with launch of redesigned piece

H.Moser & Cie reinterprets its perpetual Moon concept model with a new design showcasing an eye-catching moon in a large window.

The moon appears at 6 o’clock and is surrounded by only space, a reference to the cosmos the piece aims to represent.

The effect is enhanced by the dial which is made from vantablack for the steel model. Its ultra-black coating, regarded as the darkest man-made substance, is used in astrophysics in telescopes and by the army as thermal camouflage.

It is composed of carbon nanotubes that are vertically aligned next to each other and is capable of absorbing 99.965% of light.

The Endeavour Perpetual Moon Concept in steel comes equipped with a black leather strap.

The 5N red gold version features an H. Moser & Cie. midnight-blue fumé dial, a red gold case and comes with a brown alligator leather strap.

The Endeavour Perpetual Moon Concept is powered by the HMC 801 hand-wound manufacture calibre, equipped with an interchangeable Moser escapement, giving the watch a minimum 7-day power reserve.
