Guess and Gc Watches are gearing up for the watch brands’ annual distributors’ conference in Greece.
The three-day conference will take place in August and will be attended by about 300 watch industry professionals. It will be used to introduce global distributors to the watch brands’ new lines.
This year the conference is being run by event management company Polar Black Events, which ran Guess and Gc’s 2012 distributor conference. The watch brands said the events company, which also works with Richemont and IWC, was reappointed after a successful 2012 performance.
Guess and Gc Watches president of international sales John Marchesi said: “Last year’s conference was the best ever according to distributors’ feedback, and very successful in terms of product orders and raising money for our Time to Give charity.”
This year the event will comprise three days of an intensive one-day business and socialising programmes hosting 100 delegates each.
Polar Black Events director Xavier Cadiou said: “The strategy for 2013 is very focused and interactive, maximising distributors’ time and productivity through a balance of smartly run meetings during the day, and fun, creative evening entertainment including dinners, receptions, beach parties and teambuilding.”
The event will also have a charitable angle to it, as it does every year, and the brands will use it as an opportunity to do fundraising for local projects in Greece.
