Sporty isn’t the first adjective that springs to mind when considering the refinement and complexity of your average Greubel Forsey watch.
But a combination of a slimmer case than usual, a rubber strap and a 100 meter water resistant light weight titanium case give the new Balancier S a decidedly athletic feel.
Co-founders Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey challenged themselves to design a watch that combines sport and chronomety, and came up with the an ergonomically curved watch they claim sets a new benchmark in performance, innovation and craftsmanship.
The watch has an oval, arched sapphire crystal that follows the curvature of the case, under which you see a double suspended arched bridge holding an inclined gear train and curved central hour and minute hands.
These elements extend over the large, 30 degree inclined balance wheel.
