Gold, carbon and diamonds combine for striking Richard Mille ladies’ automatics

Richard Mille has added two striking references to its RM 07-01 collection of ladies watches.

Both the Automatic Starry Night, with gem-set star motifs, and the RM 07-01 Automatic, with an open-link bracelet in black and gold use patented Carbon TPT to make the watches extremely light and strong.

Richard Mille has specialist CNC machines capable of shaping the rock-hard Carbon TPT and preparing it for diamond-setting in golden settings.

In the case of the Automatic Starry Night, that means 181 individually set diamonds.

RM07-01 TPT Starry Night with Carbon TPT bracelet costs CHF 236,000, excluding sales tax.

The unique bracelet of the RM 07-01 Automatic is created by creating gold and Carbon CBT links that appear to be weaved together like a rope with matt black and polished gold strands.

It retails for CHF 199,000, excluding sales tax.

Both watches use Richard Mille’s in-house Calibre CRMA2, a skeletonised automatic movement with hours, minutes and a variable-geometry rotor.
