Glashütte Original lets people configure watches online before sending them to retailers to buy

Glashütte Original has launched an online service where customers can create their own unique Pavonina timepiece by selecting different dials, straps, decorative finishes and personal engraving.

However, rather than ordering the personalised pieces directly from the website, customers are instead told to contact their local retailer where they can try on the watch and complete the purchase.

Ernest Jones, Berry’s and Harrods stock Glashütte Original in the UK, although none were suggested during the process of creating a personal timepiece when WatchPro tested the service.

The Pavonina was first launched in 2013, and is the key women’s model for Glashütte Original.

The current collection aims to bring a raft of different colour combinations to encourage women to choose the one that suits their mood or fashion.

The newly launched Glashütte Original online watch service offers a spectrum of Pavonina cases, dials and more than 20 different strap options.

Once the style of the watch is decided, it can be engraved on the back using writing or pictures.
