Girard-Perregaux has produced a black DLC coated steel edition of its 1966 Blue Moon dress watch with a dark blue graduated dial carrying a moon phase and date at 6 o’clock.
The watch, which will hit retail next month, has a world-wide price of CHF 8,950.
“Blue like the earth, black like the cosmos. In 2019, Girard-Perregaux has initiated a symbolic dialogue with the universe, which is taking a poetic turn this summer with the 1966 Blue Moon,” the watchmaker says.
The 40mm watch houses an automatic GP03300-0115 movement with a power reserve of 46 hours.
It is worn on an alligator strap that is black on top and matte blue underneath.
