Georg Jensen to release special Koppel watch

By Hallie Engel

Georg Jensen’s Koppel watch is being released in an anthracite grey limited edition of 100 numbered pieces.

The watch was created by Danish designer Henning Koppel in 1978 and is known for its simple, elegant look. The new version of the watch is both stylish and sporty.

The galvanic dial features a silver powder minute hand and the 41mm stainless steel case holds an ETA calibre 2894 with 37 jewels. The watch also has a 42-hour power reserve, a numberless dial and shows the chronograph function with a large 60-second hand, 30-minute dial at 9 o’clock, 12-hour dial at 3 o’clock and date at 6 o’clock. A matching black alligator strap and a stainless steel butterfly buckle complete the timepiece.

The watch will be available on Georgjensen.com and in flagship stores across the world from October 2013.
