G-Shock today launches its dedicated pop-up shop on the fifth floor of luxury London department store Harrods.
The temporary shop features the world’s largest G-Shock Premium MTG series area. The department store is also the first retailer globally to stock the new MTG-S1000D-1AER, as well has having a dedicated space for the launch of the new G-Shock Classic Bluetooth 2.0 watch.
The new G-Shock Premium MTG–?S1000 series has been designed to have the durability synonymous with G-Shock Premium, while also having the elegance associated with classic men’s timepieces.
The MTG series has also been given additional strength courtesy of Triple G Resist, the name given to a toughness achieved by adopting the Core Guard Structure, a structural innovation that employs a metal frame to protect the timepiece, and a vibration resistance structure, which includes rotating washers to prevent screws loosening.
Additionally, with the success of the original GB-6900AA model, G-Shock has now released the second stage models, which are compatible with smartphones. The pieces can double up as music controllers, connecting to smart phones or music devices.
The Harrods’ pop-up shop also includes a space dedicated to the G-Shock Men’s Health partnership. Customers can pose for photos with their favourite G-Shock and then upload it to an online gallery on Men’s Health to be in with the chance of winning a prize, including a ski holiday in Tignes in France.
