First Class Watches, the online store owned by the same directors as James Moore Jewellers in Kenilworth, Warwickshire, says sales grew by 70% in 2016.
The business is an authorised retailer for almost 60 fashion and retail brands, plus a range of more premium watch brands including Elliott Brown, Raymond Weil, Eterna and Maurice Lacroix.
It first started selling online in 2004, but sales have taken off in the past year, according to managing director Jamie Brown, pictured above with colleagues Scott Lucas, Mark Canning and Rowland Jones.
Having created a platform for growth, Mr Brown says the etailer is ready to invest in dramatically raising its profile.
“Brand recognition has grown exponentially in recent years since launching back in 2004. First Class Watches launched its first TV ad at the end of 2015 and several members of staff enjoyed praise after featuring in the WatchPro Hot 100 “Retail Titans”. Over the next year, you can expect to see First Class Watches taking big steps towards becoming a household name,” Mr Brown says.
The company was also a finalist in the Online Only Retailer of the Year category at the 2016 WatchPro Awards.
Along with a marketing drive to raise its profile online, First Class Watches is also looking to open a new watch boutique in 2017 to provide further retail space for their ever-growing collection of brands.
