EXCLUSIVE: Zeon signs distribution agreement for Furla watches

Zeon has secured distribution rights for Furla watches in the UK. The Italian fashion house, most famous for its handbags and leather accessories, put its name to its first collection of watches for autumn/winter 2016 following a licensing agreement with Italy’s Morellato Group.

Morellato is overseeing both the creative side and the production of the new watch line under the terms of a five year licensing agreement.

Furla CEO Eraldo Poletto said that building a successful watch brand was a key objective for the fashion house. “Building a reputation in the watch area is a priority for Furla as the company thrives to implement its lifestyle appeal with new categories that reflect our codes,” he said in February as the licensing agreement with Morellato Group was announced.

Zeon, which owns Ingersoll and creates watches under license for Braun, Barbour and Vivienne Westwood, is already introducing the Furla collection to key retailers.

“Furla is an exciting proposition and brings something very different and unique to the UK watch market, said Javier Guerra, sales manager for the UK and Europe at Zeon.

“The preview of the collection has already resulted in confirmed listings from WatchShop/Goldsmiths, Argento and Shade Station,” he revealed to WatchPro.

The first collection features five different lines featuring metallic leathers, animal and camouflage prints. The watches have interchangeable straps with an easy-pin system, Prices range from £125-215.
