Arnaud Michon has been promoted to country manager for Swatch Group USA, WatchPro can exclusively reveal.
He will take on the additional responsibilities from January 1 while continuing as brand president for Omega.
Mr Michon, who hails from France, got his first taste of the luxury watch industry at Richemont in 2002, having moved to Geneva, and rose to deputy director for Europe at Cartier.
He also has experience with LVMH as general manager for Europe at Chaumet.
The move to America came about after Mr Michon joined Omega. He began his career with the brand in Paris as managing director for Omega France before moving to New York in 2017 to take up the role of brand president.
Now, as country manager for Swatch Group USA, Mr Michon will report directly to Peter Steiger, president for the group in North America and a member of Swatch Group’s management board.
