They don’t call it Time Machine anymore, so the name may slide into history, but the new Bucherer 1888/Tourneau New York flagship store should remain a Mecca for watch lovers, particularly as it is home to the full collection of Bucherer BLUE timepieces that are made exclusively for the retailer for the first time in the United States.
Bucherer BLUE watches have been a lure for customers in Europe for five years, and enthusiasts in the US have been eagerly awaiting their arrival since Bucherer bought Tourneau in 2018.
More than 50 unique watches have been created in cooperation with many of the world’s most respected manufacturers, all of them using blue as their primary color.
The New York showroom has 27 Bucherer BLUE watches including several American exclusive timepieces.
Breitling has made a special Navitimer Chronograph 41 in a new azure color.
Carl F. Bucherer is presenting a Heritage Bicompax Annual Bucherer BLUE with gradient blue dial on the front and a New York skyline etched on the back. Just 30 pieces of this watch will be made as a homage to the year 1930 when the first Tourneau store in New York City opened.
“For Bucherer BLUE our rich heritage in watchmaking and passion for innovation come together — offering our discerning customers a fresh, extraordinary perspective,” says Patrick Graf, Bucherer’s chief commercial officer.
While the Manhattan flagship will be the first of Tourneau’s network to stock Bucherer BLUE watches, it will be joined later this year by additional Bucherer 1888/Tourneau stores nationwide.
Bucherer BLUE watches are also on sale on the Tourneau website.
