Dior celebrates Chinese New Year with two new watches

Dior has released two new watches in celebration of the Chinese New Year, both of which come in red, the event’s traditional colour.

The first is the Dior Grand Bal Plume, a new 36mm addition to the collection. It comes with Dior’s patented automatic movement, the Dior Inversé 11 ½ calibre.

The oscillating weight is adorned with feathers and set with diamonds, set against a red, mother-of-pearl dial.

Meanwhile, the strap is red alligator with a steel prong buckle set with round-cut diamonds.

This piece comes in a limited edition run of only 88.

Next is the La Mini D de Dior Satine, with a steel bracelet in Milanese mesh. Dior claims the strap is so delicate it looks like ‘metal fabric’.

The new, quartz-movement release has a red lacquer dial and is embellished with pink gold and diamonds.

It also has four diamond hour-markers and polished golden pink Dauphine hands.
