China Haidian Holdings Limited has announced Antonio Calce as CEO of Eterna, which he will undertake in addition to his current and continuing responsibilities as CEO of Montres Corum.

This strategic appointment is part of the long term vision of China Haidian and serves to demonstrate the confidence both partners have for the continued development and growth of the two brands.

China Haidian chairman of the executive committee Mr Hon Kwok Lung said: "It is my great pleasure to have Mr Antonio Calce accepting this challenge. Since 2007, he has repositioned Corum to its due place in Haute Horlogerie and I am confident of his ability to rebuild Eterna. I will enjoy working with Antonio Calce, whom I trust to ensure effective management of both companies. "

Calce commented "I am very pleased to have a strong relationship with Mr Hon based on confidence and trust. I am attached to Eterna’s incredible history and with its industrial asset, I strongly believe in its potential. There will be much synergy to jointly exploit and my immediate mission is to put Eterna back at the forefront of the Swiss watch making landscape.”

China Haidian Holdings acquired Corum and Eterna along with several other brands earlier this year after sales talks closed during BaselWorld 2013.
