Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley appears to have hawked his engraved Hublot squad watch after it was spotted for sale on Twitter.
As reported in the national press, the sale of Cleverley’s Hublot, which is engraved with his name and Manchester United squad number, was being advertised by Twitter user Edward Jackson for £17,500. The watch appears to be presented with a Certificate of Authenticity personally signed by Hublot chairman Jean-Claude Biver.
Some had signalled that the sale was a sign of Cleverley giving up any chance of playing for Manchester United again as he is currently on loan at Aston Villa.
Hublot were the official watch partner of Manchester United for five years until last year when the role was taken by Bulova.
