Citizen introduces model with first new in-house caliber for over 10 years

In collaboration with La Joux Perret, Citizen has introduced a new mechanical model with a new in-house Caliber 0200.

The Cal. 0200 is Citizen’s first new mechanical movement since 2010.

The brand explained how it utilized the resources and the expertise of their Swiss group company Manufacture La Joux Perret S.A. to take the aesthetic appeal of this watch to new heights while ensuring precise long term accuracy.

This new movement has the same free sprung balance w heel used in high accuracy mechanical watches to ensure greater stability of rate.

The new NC0200-90E model will launch in early autumn for $6000.

In a stainless steel 40mm diameter case, 10.9mm in thickness, the movement offers accuracy to an average of -3 to +5sec per day.

With a running time of approximately 60 hours when fully wound, the frequency is 28,800 vph.

Containing 26 jewels and water resistant to 5 BAR, it has a transparent case back and comes with a Cal.0200 Certificate of Compliance.
