Chopard moves in next to Bulgari, Tiffany’s and Van Cleef & Arpels

Chopard is moving its New York flagship showroom from Madison to the corner of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street where its neighbors will include Bulgari, Tiffany’s and Van Cleef & Arpels.

The Swiss jeweler and watchmaker Chopard will take possession of one of the few retail stores of the Crown Building, which will also house the new luxury Aman Hotel and Residences.

The move is expected to be completed next year.

“New York is the city where anything is possible; it embodies the American Dream and a certain vision of freedom, which is why it has consistently inspired creative individuals and art lovers,” a statement from Chopard’s owner the Scheufele family says.

“Chopard has made creativity and craftmanship the core of its identity, we are the artisan of emotions since 1860, so we did not hesitate when the opportunity arose to open our Flagship in the legendary and historical Crown Building. Even in these uncertain times, our Family Maison is looking to the future, the opening of this boutique in 2021 is also a message of hope and optimism addressed to New York and New Yorkers whom we so greatly admire. This significant move by the family-owned and managed company highlights the importance of the US market for the future of the maison,” the family adds.
