Chopard’s “big party” at Cannes has set a new bar for glamour that rival watch and jewelry brands will struggle to top.

The event, which was a closely guarded secret outside the anointed circle of guests, was hosted by Chopard co-president Caroline Scheufele at Château de la Croix des Gardes overlooking the bay of Cannes and finished with a performance oozing with Mediterranean passion from Spanish singer, Enrique Iglesias.

The luxurious gardens of the Château de la Croix des Gardes provided the magical atmosphere in which Chopard, a master in hosting memorable evenings, held its greatest soiree. Surrounded by a magnificent park with the exceptional peace it exudes, this majestic neo-Palladian style residence, chosen by Alfred Hitchcock in 1955 as the setting for To Catch a Thief, offers a breath-taking view of the sea and the Palais des Festivals.

The property’s imposing entrance hall and staircase were completely draped with flowers from the floor to the ceiling. Welcoming guests, who all followed a secret black, masked and diamond dress code, models appeared as a living painting adorned with the jeweller’s most recent creations.

An exclusive dinner attended by Julianne Moore, Marion Cotillard, Lupita Nyong’O, Kendall Jenner, Clotilde Coureau, Araya Hargate, Petra Nemcova, Karen Wazen, Dorra Zarrouk, Stella Maxwell, Craig McGinlay, Marc Jacques Burton, Robert Konjic, Muran and Nataly Osmann, Charlotte Groeneveld and Calu Rivero in particular took place in this Garden of Eden.

Chopard could not have chosen a more perfect showcase for its works of art than this magical location. During the dinner, guests were surprised by the sight of ten top models walking the runway set up on the estate’s infinity pool, looming like a sea of bewitching sirens. During this mind-blowing parade, Elsa Hosk, Josephine Skriver, Joan Smalls, Jasmine Tookes, Sara Sampaio, Izabel Goulart, Sui He, Ming Xi, Stella Maxwell and Irina Shayk, dressed in Elie Saab and Aquazura shoes, showed off Haute Joaillerie creations from Chopard’s Red Carpet Collection.
