Chinese webpage to widen Johnsons Jewellers’ reach

Johnsons Jewellers has reacted to demand from the Chinese market by adding a Chinese-language page to its site and China Union Pay to its accepted methods of payment.

The Nuneaton business says that the addition ofChina Union Pay is part of its efforts to seek new ways to both appeal to and reach a wider customer audience.

The Chinese-language welcome page featured on its site shows brand logos for the likes of Links of London, Swarovski, Rado and Rolex. The text acts as a formal introduction to Johnsons Jewellers, penned by its director Libby Johnson. It describes the business as a family-run company that has been successfully trading for 115 years – a key selling point for many tourists or overseas shoppers – as well as the brands offered at Johnson and its certificated diamond jewellery. There are also details about claiming VAT back through Johnsons after making a purchase.

A statement from Johnsons said: "Luxury products are highly sought-after and consumers are increasingly using online forums to discuss the latest luxury goods. Johnsons’ new page and payment system aims to welcome Chinese shoppers and gives them the chance to buy stunning jewellery from the family-run jewellers."
