Certina has produced a limited edition chronograph to mark the first ten years of its partnership with Sauber F1 team.
The partnership between Certina and Sauber F1 Team first began in 2005 and has taken them to race tracks around the world in the pursuit of technology, performance, precision and innovation.
The Certina DS-2 Sauber F1 Team chronograph, limited to 2014 pieces, uses a 1/100th second Swiss-made ETA Precidrive quartz movement and is easily recognised with a carbon-surfaced dial and red-stitched rubber strap.
Housed in a 41mm brushed and polished stainless steel case, the 12-hour chronograph also features 30 minute, 60 second and 1/100th second indications.
A black aluminium bezel features a tachymeter scale surrounding a subtly domed sapphire crystal. Hands and indices have applied Super-LumiNova for optimum visibility and the timepiece is protected by Certina’s DS protection system giving water resistance of 100m.
The caseback features a motif celebrating the ten-year partnership between Certina and Sauber F1 Team and is engraved with the watch’s individual production number.
