Casio prepares for Carnaby Street store opening with high profile media campaign

Casio has appointed PR company Canoe to handle UK press for the launch of the G-Shock concept store on Carnaby Street, London, next month.

The opening on London’s famously fashionable fashion street comes seven years after the brand opened its first ever store in the UK.

Canoe managing director Chris Carr says that communicating such an important opening is a big win for his agency.

“G-Shock is a brand that we’ve admired for a long long time. To get the opportunity to work with such a prestigious brand, in such an iconic place as Carnaby Street — is the brief most agencies dream of. We are very proud to be heading up this project and super excited to be working with the G-Shock team,” he says.

Tim Gould, deputy managing director, Casio UK, is looking forward to the store opening being used to present the brand in a completely different way.

“The opening of G-Shock London on Carnaby Street is a real homecoming for the brand. We’re so excited to open our doors to Soho and create a space that not only reimagines retail, but provides an unforgettable experience for our customers and the community. Working with Canoe for this launch was an obvious decision for us – we’re thrilled to have such a dynamic and innovative team join the G-Shock family.”

Set over two floors, the first will allow consumers the opportunity to purchase the latest styles, collaborations and designs from the G-Shock range, while the basement will be a creative event space and will serve as a go-to hub for all things G-Shock .
