Casio gives Baby-G a colorful 1990s-style reboot

Casio Baby-G has added to its BG-169 collection with two new models.

The new BG169R-2C in light blue and the BG169R-4E in light pink include translucent bodies and bands with a matte finish in bright colors.

The timepieces reflect a neo retro theme, featuring colors inspired by the games, music players and cassettes of the 1990s.

The BG169R-2C comes in a translucent blue with orange accents, while the BG169R-4E comes in a translucent pink with red accents.

Other features to the new releases include a water resistance up to 200m, shock resistance, an EL backlight and a countdown timer.

The new models retail for $79 USD, and are available for purchase at select jewelers, baby-g.com, and the G-SHOCK Soho store.

Baby-G is Casio’s female timepiece brand and was created as a counterpart to its ‘big brother’ G-SHOCK in 1994.
