Watchmaker Carl F Bucherer has announced a new addition to its water-resistant Patravi ScubaTec range.

The Patravi ScubaTec Black comes after last year’s Black Manta Special Edition, and this latest timepiece, available from April, also supports the Black Manta charitable organisation.

Black Manta’s mission is to clean and protect our oceans, and Carl F Bucherer is dedicated to this cause too, with its latest strap fabric made of 100% recycled plastic bottles removed from the ocean.

Elsewhere, the watch is water-resistant up to 50 bar (500m) and promises certified chronometer precision.

Its ultra-light 44.6 mm titanium case and unidirectional rotating bezel have a matte black DLC coating.

The bezel is also equipped with scratch-resistant ceramic, a 60-minute scale, and luminous markers.

The black dial is adorned with black indices with an ample coating of Super- LumiNova, making it easy to read at any depth or time of day.
