Carl F. Bucherer and prestige Swiss pen maker Caran D’Ache signed on the dotted line for a collaboration across writing instruments and timepieces earlier this year, promising their precision products will help “celebrate life’s signature moments”.
The first fruits of the collaboration are a limited edition (and eco-friendly) travel pouch containing a Carl F. Bucherer Manero Flyback Signature watch and a Caran d’Ache Signature roller ball pen.
“The Signature Moments release through our Manero Flyback Signature watch and the Caran d’Ache Signature writing instrument also invite people to dream,” says Sascha Moeri, Carl F. Bucherer’s CEO.
“Very often, these important moments in our lives mark the realisation of long-held dreams. Carole Hubscher at Caran d’Ache and I love the idea of celebrating not only the attainment of a long-held aspiration but also the earlier times in a person’s life that inspired that goal.”
The Carl F. Bucherer Manero Flyback Signature has graphite gray chronograph sub dials on a silvered dial with coloured hour markers giving a nod to a Caran d’Ache pencil set.
It comes with two NATO straps in a 43mm steel case housing the CFB 1970 automatic caliber with a power reserve of 42 hours.
Caran d’Ache’s Signature pen has a guillochage decorated rhodium- and silver-coated with hand-lacquered multicoloured triangles picking up details from the watch’s face.
It is limited to 188 pieces and priced at $7,200.
