Watch and jewelry retailer Bucherer has expanded its Blue Edition family of timepieces with the addition of a limited range.
The brand has unveiled the Piaget Polo S Bucherer Blue Edition, a stainless-steel sports watch and the newest member of the Blue Editions family, which includes 17 timepieces. The chronograph replaces the Piaget Altiplano Bucherer Blue Edition, which is now sold out.
The stainless-steel sports watch, which was developed for ‘confident men that play by their own rules’, features a cushion-shaped dial in a round case. Subtle rose gold elements contrast with the dark blue of the guilloche dial, a homage to the colour of Bucherer.
The sapphire-glass back provides a view of the in-house automatic movement, with the Piaget coat of arms engraved on the blue rotor. The range is limited to 100 watches.
Patrick Graf, chief commercial officer at Bucherer, said: “We are delighted to have developed a watch together with Piaget that embodies the spirit of a new generation of leaders. The bold design features of the Piaget Polo S Bucherer Blue Editions represent a real break with convention and appeal to men who are driven by the desire to go their own way.”
Blue Editions are created by many of Switzerland’s leading watchmakers exclusively for Bucherer and they are sold only at Bucherer boutiques around Europe, which all use the color blue on dials, straps or bezels
In January it was confirmed that Bucherer bought America’s largest fine watch business Tourneau for an undisclosed sum. The deal gave Bucherer an immediate network of 28 stores across 10 states and a fully integrated e-commerce business.
