Breitling has teamed up with American Airlines for its new Navitimer, a limited-edition piece available exclusively in the US.
The watch is the latest in Breitling’s first-ever capsule collection, a series of new Navitimer watches inspired by the world’s greatest airline.
Commenting on the launch, Breitling CEO Georges Kerns, said: “I still remember the thrill of my first flight. The Navitimer American Airlines brings it all back to me: the clean design, the optimism, the sense of discovery.”
Adding: “It’s a watch that encourages us to dream and, like American Airlines itself, to continue to broaden our horizons.”
Aesthetically, the Navitimer American Airlines makes the most of American Airlines design credentials, riffing on the bold colors and clean lines of the 1960s and 1970s graphics.
An arresting re-skin of the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 is powered by Breitling’s in-house Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01.
It features a stainless-steel case, blue dial, red hour and minute hands, and a transparent sapphire case-back printed with the American Airlines logo.
The Navitimer American Airlines is available exclusively in the United States and as a limited edition of 100 pieces, 25 with a stainless steel mesh strap, and 75 with a calfskin leather strap and steel tang-type buckle.
