Breitling has added a rattrapante second chronograph hand to a 45mm rose gold edition of its legendary Navitimer.
A rattrapante is rare complication that effectively turns the watch into two stopwatches so that two events can be timed simultaneously.
One chronograph hand is started and stopped using the top pusher at 2 o’clock while the second, in red, is operated with a pusher housed in the crown at 3 o’clock.
The additional complication bumps the price of the Navitimer B03 Chronograph Rattrapante 45 to $27,480 compared to a B01 with a single central chronograph hand in rose gold that currently retails for $24,270.
It houses a Breitling Manufacture Caliber B03 COSC-certified movement that can be seen through a sapphire caseback and is presented on a black alligator leather strap with a pin buckle.
Breitling is taking inquiries now for the watch, but has not announced a delivery date.
