BREAKING NEWS: Omega splashes on TV advertising for 60th anniversary Speedmaster

Omega is launching a television advertising campaign on Sunday to promote the Speedmaster, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.

The TV campaign premieres in the UK on Sunday, March 5, at 9.30pm on Channel 4 during Homeland.

It is the biggest commitment to TV advertising the brand has made in the UK since the 2012 Olympic Games, where Omega was official timekeeper.

The 60 second advert features George Clooney speaking about his childhood memories of watching the decade of space exploration in the 1960s that culminated in the first manned mission to the moon in 1969.

The commercial has footage of the first lunar landing, when Omega’s Speedmaster was worn by the astronauts as they first set foot on the planet.
