Brad Pitt’s five step plan for showing off his Breitling on the red carpet

Brad Pitt did not become one of history’s most bankable movie stars because he is unable to take direction.

So it is little surprise that he nailed the notoriously difficult art of showing off watches you are paid to wear while on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival.

Mr Pitt is a Breitling Cinema Squad member, so he appears in advertisements and makes personal appearances in support of the brand.

Which is why he attended the Cannes Film Festival premiere of the latest Quentin Tarantino film Once Upon A Time In Hollywood wearing a Breitling Premier Norton Edition.

Breitling CEO Georges Kern was also at the premiere and at Sony Pictures’ after party, for which Breitling was an Official Partner.

No.2: Rolled up sleeves are essential, and welcome in the warm sunshine of the French Riviera. In this shot, Brad Pitt could not have chosen a more perfect backdrop for the Breitling watch than Leonardo DeCaprios dark blue suit jacket.
No.3: Crossing your arms is a banker. Even when wearing a jacket, the sleeve is likely to ride up and expose your wristwear.
No.4: Class from Mr Pitt as he appears to make personal eye contact with his audience while drawing the eye down towards his Breitling.
No.5: Another quality and seemingly effortless pose with Mr Pitt’s face in profile, but Mr Breitling’s face staring into the camera lens.
