Blancpain keeps romance alive with limited edition Villeret watch for Valentine’s Day

Blancpain has kicked off 2021 with its tradition of producing a limited ladies watch for Valentine’s Day.

It is the 20th year in a row that the Swatch Group brand has made a Valentine’s Day watch, in this case a 28-piece limited edition Villeret Women Date with a seconds hand in the form of Cupid’s arrow piercing a red heart.

“The “Valentine’s Day 2021” watch is a new token of eternity. The understated elegance of its design, reflecting the very essence of Blancpain style, ensures that this gem-set timepiece joins the ranks of truly ageless models.

“The temptation to offer such a priceless gift to the love of your life is all the greater in that this model comes in a limited edition of just 28,” Blancpain says.

The 33.2mm red gold watch houses an automatic Blancpain 1151 movement with four day power reserve that can be seen through a crystal caseback.

Its mother of pear dial is framed with a diamond-set bezel and studded with diamond hour markers.

It is on sale now for £18,700 (around $21,000 in the United States).
